Emerson Burkhart was an Ohio artist, born in Kalida, Ohio in 1905, died in 1969. He graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University in 1926
and attended The Ohio State University in 1931. His paintings are currently in collections of The Butler Art Institute, Youngstown,
Ohio; Chrysler Museum, Norfolk, Va.; The Dayton Museum of Art, Franklin University; Capital University; The Ohio State University,
Stillman Hall; the Ohio Historical Society; the Smithsonian and numerous private collections.
